De hecho, fue en ese periodo que en el cine lusitano se sembraron importantes semillas: el comienzo de los filmes sonoros, las notables comedias realizadas por Arthur Duarte, las primeras cintas de Manoel de Oliveira, y sensibles melodramas que utilizaron tanto el escenario de la vida rural y los barrios pobres de la ciudad como la valiosa m\u00fasica popular.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Con el prop\u00f3sito de repasar una etapa esencial dentro de la historia cinematogr\u00e1fica de Portugal, del&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">28 de abril al 8 de mayo<\/strong>&nbsp;la Cineteca Nacional ofrecer\u00e1 el programa titulado&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La \u00e9poca de oro del cine portugu\u00e9s,&nbsp;<\/strong>periodo que abarca de los a\u00f1os treinta a los cincuenta del siglo XX. El ciclo se presenta en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Cinemateca Portuguesa, el Instituto Cam\u00f5es y la Embajada de Portugal en M\u00e9xico, y tendr\u00e1 lugar&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">en la Sala 9, Juan Bustillo Oro<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">La programaci\u00f3n arranca con<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">&nbsp;La severa<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(A severa, 1931) una cinta de Jos\u00e9 Leit\u00e3o de Barros sobre la vida de Severa, considerada la creadora del fado y durante mucho tiempo la m\u00e1xima exponente de la m\u00fasica popular portuguesa. Al igual que las melod\u00edas y letras de este g\u00e9nero musical, la historia de La Severa estuvo marcada por la frustraci\u00f3n y la nostalgia.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Posteriormente viene<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La canci\u00f3n de Lisboa<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(A can\u00e7\u00e3o de Lisboa, Jos\u00e9 Cottinelli Telmo, 1933), que sent\u00f3 las bases de la comedia del periodo y que dio al cine portugu\u00e9s sus mayores \u00e9xitos de taquilla. Aqu\u00ed conocemos a Vasco, un bohemio estudiante de medicina que se mantiene gracias a la manutenci\u00f3n de sus t\u00edas. Cuando \u00e9stas deciden visitarlo, Vasco pedir\u00e1 ayuda a sus amigos (entre ellos Carlos, interpretado por un joven Manoel de Oliveira) para que sus familiares no descubran la verdad. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La canci\u00f3n de la tierra<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(A can\u00e7\u00e3o da terra, 1938) dirigida por uno de los primeros cr\u00edticos cinematogr\u00e1ficos de Portugal, Jorge Brum, nos lleva hasta Porto Santo, una peque\u00f1a isla azotada por una terrible sequ\u00eda. Siguiendo la historia de Gon\u00e7alves y Bastiana, dos granjeros que intentan buscar soluciones a la cat\u00e1strofe, el director retrata las tensiones de la sociedad rural de la isla.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Considerada como uno de los mayores \u00e9xitos del cine portugu\u00e9s de su \u00e9poca<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">, La aldea de la ropa blanca<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>(Aldeia da roupa branca, Chianca de Garcia, 1938) narra la historia una joven que atiende el negocio familiar en un pueblo. Cuando el comercio parece no prosperar, ella ir\u00e1 a la capital a buscar a Chico, de quien est\u00e1 secretamente enamorada. &nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mal recibida en el momento de su estreno,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Duero, trabajo fluvial,&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(Douro faina fluvial, 1931), es la primera pel\u00edcula de Manoel de Oliveira. Se trata de un corto que retrata su natal Porto y la labor industrial que tiene lugar a lo largo del principal r\u00edo de la ciudad, el Duero.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Continuando con Oliveira, quien posteriormente fuera considerado el cineasta m\u00e1s prestigioso de Portugal, se suma&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Aniki B\u00f3b\u00f3&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(1942), su primer largometraje de ficci\u00f3n. Aqu\u00ed se basa en fragmentos de la vida real de Porto para contar una historia basada en una novela de Jo\u00e3o Rodrigues de Freitas. Narra las aventuras y los amores de tres ni\u00f1os, habitantes de un pobre barrio de la ciudad, as\u00ed como su mirada frente el mundo que los rodea.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">En&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Fado, historia de una cancionera&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(Fado, hist\u00f3ria de uma cantadeira, Perdig\u00e3o Queiroga, 1947) una joven fadista y su novio J\u00falio viven en un barrio humilde de Lisboa. Cuando ella se vuelve rica y famosa a causa de su talento, \u00e9l se siente traicionado y decide embarcarse a \u00c1frica para no volver a verla. Con la ic\u00f3nica cantante Am\u00e1lia Rodrigues \u2013mejor conocida como La Reina del Fado\u2013 como protagonista, este cl\u00e1sico melodrama del cine portugu\u00e9s constituy\u00f3 uno de los m\u00e1s grandes \u00e9xitos de taquilla de los a\u00f1os cuarenta.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Por sus chistes visuales, la iron\u00eda dram\u00e1tica y sus di\u00e1logos \u00e1giles,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">El padre tirano&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(O pai tirano, Ant\u00f3nio Lopes Ribeiro, 1941) es una de las mejores comedias de la edad de oro del cine portugu\u00e9s. Cuando todo est\u00e1 listo para la presentaci\u00f3n anual de una compa\u00f1\u00eda de teatro de aficionados, Chico Mega descubre que su amada Tat\u00e3o est\u00e1 poniendo sus ojos sobre otro hombre. Cuando intenta recuperar su amor, divertidos enredos tendr\u00e1n lugar entre su personaje en la obra y su vida real.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">En&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">El Costa del Castillo<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">O costa do castelo<\/em>, Arthur Duarte, 1943) la se\u00f1ora Rita y el se\u00f1or Janu\u00e1rio tienen como inquilinos en su pensi\u00f3n a la joven Luisinha y a Simpl\u00edcio Costa, un perezoso pero talentoso guitarrista de fados. Un d\u00eda, Daniel, un joven de familia adinerada, ve pasar a Luisinha por la calle y se enamora perdidamente de ella. En ella, Teresa de Albuquerque y Sim\u00e3o Botelho tendr\u00e1n que hacer frente a la intolerancia y controversia de sus nobles familias. Acechados tambi\u00e9n por la rivalidad mortal entre Sim\u00e3o y Baltasar Coutinho, primo y pretendiente de Teresa, este drama nos remite a las novelas de Shakespeare, donde el deber con la familia y el amor chocan con desenlaces fat\u00eddicos.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Despu\u00e9s del \u00e9xito de&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">El costa del Castillo<\/em>, Arthur Duarte regres\u00f3 a la comedia introduciendo un nuevo elemento: la radio, medio que en aquel momento se expand\u00eda en Portugal. As\u00ed, en<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La muchacha de la radio&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(A menina da r\u00e1dio, Arthur Duarte, 1944) vemos a Cipriano y Rosa, dos comerciantes que se odian mutuamente. Por otro lado, sus respectivos hijos, Geninha, y \u00d3scar, se aman apasionadamente. Cuando Cipriano monta una emisora de radio local donde Geninha puede mostrar sus habilidades vocales y \u00d3scar su talento como compositor, las envidias complicar\u00e1n todo entre
