El que ahora es conocido como \u201cel padre del neorrealismo\u201d fue rechazado duramente por diversas instituciones, tanto en el \u00e1mbito del cine como fuera de \u00e9l, por la crudeza de su estilo, su constante rechazo al espect\u00e1culo y la cr\u00edtica de sus historias.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Como parte de la sexta edici\u00f3n de Distrital Festival, la Cineteca Nacional celebra el legado de uno de los directores m\u00e1s grandes y controvertidos de Italia con la&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Retrospectiva Roberto Rossellini<\/strong>, una exhibici\u00f3n de diez filmes representativos de su autor\u00eda. La muestra se llevar\u00e1 a cabo del 22 al 31 de enero en la Sala 8, Ismael Rodr\u00edguez.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">En una entrevista publicada en los n\u00fameros 50, 52 y 55 de la revista&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Cahiers du cin\u00e9ma,<\/em>Rossellini expres\u00f3 que para \u00e9l, el neorrealismo \u201cconsiste en seguir a un ser, con amor, en todos sus descubrimientos, todas sus impresiones. Se trata de un ser muy peque\u00f1o bajo algo que le domina y que, de repente, le golpear\u00e1 horriblemente en el momento preciso en que se encuentre libremente en el mundo, sin esperar nada\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Sus palabras se consolidaron en&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Roma, ciudad abierta<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Roma citt\u00e0 aperta<\/em>, 1945), considerada com\u00fanmente como la pel\u00edcula que inaugur\u00f3 la corriente art\u00edstica. V\u00edctima de los estragos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la industria del cine en Italia no contaba con estudios, trabajadores ni equipo suficiente para rodar grandes producciones, por lo que el cineasta sali\u00f3 a filmar a la calle, con actores no profesionales, una historia cr\u00edtica del conflicto b\u00e9lico.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Pais\u00e0<\/em><\/strong><strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">&nbsp;(<\/strong>1946) continu\u00f3 este eje tem\u00e1tico y le a\u00f1adi\u00f3 un sentimiento de liberaci\u00f3n nacional al reunir seis historias que reflejan el deslindamiento italiano de la opresi\u00f3n del r\u00e9gimen nazi despu\u00e9s de que los Aliados invadieran Europa durante 1943 y 1944.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">La obra que concluye esta trilog\u00eda neorrealista es&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Alemania, a\u00f1o cero<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Germania, anno zero<\/em>, 1947), que sigue a un ni\u00f1o que vive en los restos de Berl\u00edn, ciudad destrozada por la guerra y retratada con fidelidad por la c\u00e1mara de Rossellini. El final del largometraje horroriz\u00f3 a una gran parte de la cr\u00edtica internacional y comenz\u00f3 una ola de rechazo hacia el director, generando un estigma que lo acompa\u00f1ar\u00eda el resto de su carrera.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Por otra parte,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Amor<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">L\u2019amore<\/em>, 1948) es una cinta antol\u00f3gica compuesta de dos segmentos:<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Il Miracolo<\/em>&nbsp;(El Milagro) y&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Una Voce Umana<\/em>&nbsp;(Una voz humana). El primero, co-escrito por el mismo Rossellini y Federico Fellini, fue prohibido por la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica a pesar de que el director la consideraba como una obra basada sinceramente en la Biblia y en el pensamiento religioso.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Junto con&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Amor<\/em>,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La m\u00e1quina matamalvados<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La macchina ammazzacattivi<\/em>, 1952) es vista con frecuencia como una obra de transici\u00f3n y es quiz\u00e1s la m\u00e1s alejada de la sobriedad realista que caracteriza al cineasta. En ella, un demonio le otorga a un fot\u00f3grafo la habilidad de eliminar a las personas con su c\u00e1mara, proponiendo un dilema moral tanto al protagonista como al espectador.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">As\u00ed como sus primeros filmes enfocaron la cr\u00f3nica neorrealista en temas sociales y de cr\u00edtica pol\u00edtica,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Stromboli<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Stromboli, terra di Dio<\/em>, 1949) lo hizo en la soledad del individuo y en los conflictos de la vida de pareja. Esto implic\u00f3 un giro tanto en la filmograf\u00eda del italiano como en su vida marital; el amor\u00edo que tuvo con la actriz principal de la pel\u00edcula, la estrella de Hollywood Ingrid Bergman, provoc\u00f3 una pol\u00e9mica medi\u00e1tica de tal proporci\u00f3n que termin\u00f3 por afectar el trabajo y el \u00e1nimo de ambos.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Sin embargo, el romance se transform\u00f3 en matrimonio y la colaboraci\u00f3n cinematogr\u00e1fica entre Rossellini y Bergman continu\u00f3 en otras cuatro producciones, de las que se exhibir\u00e1n<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Viaje a Italia<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Viaggio in Italia<\/em>, 1953) y&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Angustia<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Non credo pi\u00f9 all\u2019amore (La paura)<\/em>, 1954). Ambas cintas conservan los cuestionamientos de&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Stromboli<\/em>&nbsp;sobre las relaciones amorosas y la falta de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u201cEs la pel\u00edcula m\u00e1s moderna, creo yo,&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Viaje a Italia<\/em>. Dio inicio al cine moderno de alguna manera\u201d, coment\u00f3 recientemente Martin Scorsese, reconocido admirador de Rossellini, en entrevista con&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">Vice<\/em>&nbsp;y&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">The Criterion Collection<\/em>. \u201cParece observar la pura textura y la rugosidad de la existencia del d\u00eda a d\u00eda, la vida diaria, pero en cada caso, por supuesto, lleva a un lugar extraordinario\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Despu\u00e9s de trabajar con Bergman, el director decidi\u00f3 que el cine no s\u00f3lo deb\u00eda servir como cr\u00edtica, sino como una forma de educaci\u00f3n para la audiencia.&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">India<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">India: Matri Bhumi<\/em>, 1959) es un documental realizado para acercar al p\u00fablico occidental a las costumbres y tradiciones del segundo pa\u00eds m\u00e1s poblado del mundo.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; line-height: 22.72px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Por \u00faltimo,&nbsp;<strong style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\"><em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La fuerza y la raz\u00f3n<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<em style=\"line-height: 22.72px;\">La forza e la ragione<\/em>, 1971) es una muestra del tipo de cine al que Roberto Rossellini se dedic\u00f3 en la \u00faltima etapa de su vida. Cansado de las pel\u00edculas convencionales y desilusionado con el impacto social de la industria, el autor realiz\u00f3 largometrajes did\u00e1cticos, principalmente para televisi\u00f3n, que serv\u00edan como recuentos hist\u00f3ricos de personajes como Luis XIV, S\u00f3crates, Agust\u00edn de Hipona y, en este caso, Salvador Allende.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white;
