\nViuda de un obrero y madre de un obrero, Pelagu\u00e9ia Vl\u00e1sova ve con inquietud, casi con miedo, c\u00f3mo su hijo se re\u00fane en la clandestinidad con sus compa\u00f1eros de la f\u00e1brica. Le preocupa que no sea como su padre y que se embeba en la lectura de libros tan ajenos para ella.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nEl fuego depurador de la lucha revolucionaria revelan en la madre los principios de un nuevo orden social que transforma al ser humano. Asistimos a la transformaci\u00f3n de la madre cuando despu\u00e9s del primero de mayo y la detenci\u00f3n de su hijo Pavel, aprende a leer, deja el arrabal y se traslada a la ciudad donde ayuda a otros obreros a liberarse de sus miedos y a sacarlos de su oscurantismo.<\/span><\/div>\n
\nCombaten a una sociedad hostil que pone en peligro no s\u00f3lo la existencia de la gente sino, de su mundo espiritual \u201c\u00bfY ser\u00e1 posible que atormenten a la gente?\u201d pregunta la madre a su hijo, refiri\u00e9ndose a los polic\u00edas. \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 desgarren el cuerpo, que rompan los huesos? Cuando pienso en esto Pavel, querido m\u00edo, \u00a1me da horror!, y \u00e9l responde: \u201cRompen el alma\u2026 eso duele m\u00e1s: el que desgarren el alma con  sus manos sucias\u2026\u201d <\/span><\/div>\n
