DESPU\u00c9S busca iniciar nuevos di\u00e1logos en torno a la maternidad y las decisiones que \u00e9sta conlleva. En palabras de su directora:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u00abDESPU\u00c9S es tambi\u00e9n una reflexi\u00f3n sobre la maternidad desde distintas alternativas: la decisi\u00f3n de desearla, la decisi\u00f3n de vivirla, la decisi\u00f3n de rechazarla, y sobre las circunstancias que atraviesan las generaciones de mujeres al momento de encarar estas decisiones, cuando los preceptos sociales sobre los roles de g\u00e9nero, las relaciones sentimentales o la sexualidad se han ido transformando.\u00bb<\/i> &#8211; Sof\u00eda G\u00f3mez C\u00f3rdova<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">La directora y Ludwika Paleta se conocieron en 2018 tras coincidir en un taller de la C\u00e1tedra Ingmar Bergman de la UNAM. Ah\u00ed naci\u00f3 de forma muy natural la colaboraci\u00f3n para esta pel\u00edcula. En DESPU\u00c9S, la m\u00fasica toma un papel muy importante, siendo \u00e9sta la pasi\u00f3n original de Carmen, la protagonista, que hab\u00eda sacrificado por lograr una estabilidad para su hijo. Fue la m\u00fasica uno de los factores que m\u00e1s nutrieron la colaboraci\u00f3n, ya que tanto la actriz como la directora vivieron rodeadas de este arte desde temprana edad.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">La pel\u00edcula fue financiada con el apoyo a la producci\u00f3n de EFICINE, FOCINE, COFIEJ y el financiamiento privado de Touska y Alkane Venture.
