Después de meses de arduo trabajo, el músico y productor norteamericano Vik Montemayor aka George West, está listo para presentar su más resiente material discográfico titulado "Palmetto".

Esta producción empezó a gestarse en el mes de octubre de 2016 en la habitación de Vik Montemayor y cuenta con la participación de Ivan Lara (guitarras) y de Kajo en las vocales.

De esta producción se desprende 'Mustang Island', single con el que se inició la promoción de este EP, el cual será presentado este próximo fin de semana en Wonky Power Live, y que se podrá disfrutar a través de un Live Streaming a través del Facebook de George West.

Para Vik Montemayor "Palmetto", significa:
 

"The name "Palmetto" comes from a street name in South Houston. That is where it all began for my mom and dad growing up here in the states. The are originally from a small town about 30 minutes away from Monterrey Mexico called Dr. Gonzalez. So when they go here to the states my grandparents bought a house on Palmetto street and that is where my parents first starting dating then later on got married young, not knowing where life would take them, everything was new to them but they still managed to make it. At the house on Palmetto, there was a small detach apartment and my parents lived there for a bit when I was a new born baby. This EP is dedicated to my parents they have shaped me into what I am today, they always supported me in what I do, they let me be creative, funny, and weird and they never judged me for it. I owe them this and much more".

"I have taken a very emotional and experimental approach for this EP, I really didn't have in mind to release an EP but I feel like if I don't set and date and push myself, I will just be stuck where I am at. One night laying in bed, no lie, I was editing a photo and I put it up on Instagram and put EP release party Feb 18 2017, and that was that haha! Now I was like shit I gotta create some dope tracks for the fam. My birthday is Feb 19 so I was like fuck it lets make this a great night. I have really put in a lot of thought on the production for the show that night I have a few things in mind that I really want the people to get a great experience about me and what I create".
